Festival of Friends 2019
MFYC’s older choristers participated in Festival of Friends on February 2 2019. This event is a gathering of Mississauga choirs hosted by the Mississauga Festival Choir. The 2019 performance was also a fundraiser for the Alzheimers Society. This year $4000 was raised at this event! As an annual event, the Mississauga Festival Choir presents a massed choral festival. Featuring various local choirs in solo and ensemble performances. The Mississauga Festival Youth Choir has participated for many years with both solo performances and as part of the massed choirs. In addition, the Festival of Friends uses the occasion every year to raise funds for Mississauga charities. All proceeds go to local charities, as MFC and its friends joyously give back to their community in song and support. Lastly, keep in mind that event usually takes place early in February. Leave a spot open in your calendar for next year’s show.
